What is the Pantone color directory?

The Pantone color directory is a searchable reference for PMS colors, their approximate digital values, and the practical data needed to use them across design and print workflows. PantoneTools currently lists 276 curated coated and uncoated references with HEX, RGB, CMYK, HSL, CIE Lab, WCAG contrast checks, related palettes, and copy-ready CSS or design-token exports. Use it when you need to identify a PMS color, compare a Pantone code with its screen approximation, or move a palette between Figma, CSS, Tailwind, and printer conversations. These values are independent sRGB approximations, not licensed official Pantone specifications. For brand-critical production, confirm the final color against a current physical Pantone guide under standard viewing light and request a printer proof before approval.
